One of my new favorite and super easy things to make in the kitchen is homemade mayonnaise! I had never tried it before but since incorporating more WHOLE30 eating into my life this month, making mayo is a must as I have not been able to find a store-bought mayo that is WHOLE30 compliant (this recipe is modified slightly from the WHOLE30 cookbook).
Here’s the thing: it is SO INCREDIBLY EASY to make. You likely have all the ingredients in your house already!
Once you have the basic mayo recipe down you can create different dips and sauces with it, including this homemade ranch recipe:
-1 cup basic mayo recipe
-1/4 cup coconut cream (optional)
-2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
-1 tsp dried parsley
-1/2 tsp garlic powder
-1/2 tsp onion powder
-1/2 tsp black pepper
-1/4 tsp paprika
Whisk together the mayo, coconut cream (optional), and vinegar in a small bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients and whisk until combined. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Give this basic mayo recipe a go and you’ll feel like a rockstar in the kitchen and wonder why you have not made it sooner!
